Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple life support certifications.

Details

  • Work in a hospital Emergency Department within a full-service medical center offering a wide range of specialties
  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week guaranteed
  • Every other weekend required and holidays as needed
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration, compact license not accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
  • Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC
  • Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment
  • Skills checklist and supervisory reference specific to Emergency Room experience required, current within 1 year

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care within a 298-bed teaching hospital recognized for patient safety excellence
  • Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled, including Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
  • No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
  • Personal scrubs of any color permitted per dress code
  • Includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
