Job Summary
The Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare setting where the RN is responsible for protecting, promoting, and optimizing patient health and abilities, as well as preventing illness and injury. The RN provides patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, while ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and policies.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current New York State Registered Nurse License, BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), at least an Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing, with a preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. 0 years minimum experience required.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, 36 hours per week, every other weekend.
• Required Skills & Experience: Collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment/critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning (organizing, time management), problem solving, quality, reliability, safety and risk management.
• Preferred Skills & Experience: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
• Required Skills: "EPIC"
• Additional information: The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse or accountable nurse, while considering safety, effectiveness, and competency. The RN educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management, utilizing available resources. The RN administers medications safely according to hospital policy and actively participates in professional development, continuing education, and improvement initiatives.
