Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Farmington, New Mexico. This 26-week contract at a busy Level III trauma center involves providing emergency care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and septic cases. The role requires collaboration within a team nursing environment utilizing a pod system to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA), 2 years of emergency department experience preferred, reside within the facilitys service area, no minimum years of experience specified
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation experience
- Responsibilities: Providing emergency nursing care within a fast-paced ER environment that includes trauma cases, stroke management, and treatment of various acute conditions using advanced equipment such as Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, Ultrasound Guided IV.
- Additional Information: Unit includes social workers and an assigned department educator; patient ratios are 4:1 in the main emergency department and 6:1 in fast track. The facility is equipped with modern medical technology and uses Cerner electronic health records.
