Travel Emergency Department RN Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room RN experience
• Active New York Registered Nurse license or appropriate state licensure eligibility
• Current Emergency Room RN credentials and demonstrated emergency nursing competency
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the 36-hour weekly commitment
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Successful completion of required onboarding, competency, and employment verification processes

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Perform focused patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and prioritize care according to acuity
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support rapid evaluation and intervention
• Manage care for a varied emergency patient population in a 48-treatment-space department
• Maintain clear communication with patients and families while supporting a positive care experience
• Follow emergency nursing standards, departmental procedures, and applicable safety requirements
