Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse located in a healthcare facility. This position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The role requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, providing health education and counseling, executing delegated medical functions, and ensuring proper documentation to support patient well-being.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 3-12 hour shifts per week, with variable midweek weekends. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications & Certifications: ASN (Associates Degree in Nursing) or higher from an accredited nursing school, current RN license in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, ACLS (American Heart Association) certification, PALS (American Heart Association) certification, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, with at least 1 year of nursing experience.
- Additional Responsibilities: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on operational needs. May also be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
- Education: An ASN degree is required; a Bachelor's degree of Nursing is preferred.
- Certifications & Licensure: Current RN license in applicable state; BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. Preferred certifications as appropriate for the unit or service.
