Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

  • Work in a 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital's emergency department
  • Rural/small facility setting serving the only 24/7 ED in the county
  • Treats a wide range of emergencies including trauma, cardiac events, burns, poisonings, and violence-related injuries
  • Department includes two triage rooms, six treatment rooms, two trauma rooms, dedicated pediatric and psychiatric rooms, and a decontamination area
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a 36-hour weekly guarantee
  • Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active NH or Compact RN license required in-hand at time of consideration
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
  • Minimum 3 months of previous travel assignment experience required
  • Rural or small facility experience required
  • TNCC certification highly preferred
  • Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care including diagnosis, treatment, stabilization, and transfer coordination for a wide range of medical emergencies
  • Work alongside physicians, nurses, and paramedics specially trained in emergency medicine
  • Must be available to work two required holiday blocks: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
  • RTO requests limited to no more than 5 days and must be submitted and verified prior to assignment start; requests made after offer will not be approved
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
