Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a level III trauma center located in the San Juan River Valley of northwest New Mexico. This role involves providing emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment, including team nursing and pod system operations, with a focus on trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis cases. The position offers an opportunity to work in a regional facility that serves a diverse patient population within a vibrant community setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN (Registered Nurse) with ADN degree, ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC certifications from AHA, and 2 years of experience in emergency department settings
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis is highly valued
  • Additional Information: The ER team operates with social workers assigned to the department, and a unit educator supports staff development. Equipment includes Zoll defibrillators, level one blood transfusers, QinFlow blood warmers, and ultrasound-guided IV capabilities. The Electronic Health Record (EHR) system used is Cerner, and staffing supports a patient ratio of 4:1 in the main emergency department and 6:1 in the fast track. The facility provides comprehensive services including trauma, stroke, and cardiac care, with certifications in advanced trauma and emergency nursing.
