Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a midshift 3x12 role at a Level II trauma center, requiring an active NV RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Level II trauma center with 80 ER beds and 800 inpatient beds, serving a 500-mile radius
  • Extremely busy, fast-paced environment with volume comparable to a Level I trauma center
  • 3x12 schedule, midshift 1200-0030
  • 36 weekly guaranteed hours
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
  • Floating required to other units based on organizational needs, up to competency level
  • Required to pick up one additional shift every 4-week schedule period
  • Uses Epic for charting, with training provided during orientation or option to test out

Requirements

  • Active NV RN license required prior to start
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
  • TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
  • Minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
  • CPI certification required if working Behavioral/Psych patients

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric ER patients and their families
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
  • Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts (full or partial) with 48 hours notice for low census
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • A 13-week break is required between assignments for returning travelers
  • RTO must be submitted with the initial application and will not be added at the end of the contract
  • No blocked scheduling allowed
