Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in a healthcare facility. The role involves primarily medical-surgical patient care with floating responsibilities to the emergency department. The position requires a flexible, team-oriented professional capable of working in a fast-paced environment during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program.
    • State of NE or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license active and in good standing.
    • BLS (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
    • ACLS (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
    • Minimum of 1 year of ER experience, including ER skills checklist; charge experience required.
    • Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past 12 months.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • BSN degree.
    • Recent experience in acute and complex patient care.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other units, primarily medical-surgical units and the emergency department.
  • Additional Information:
    • The position requires training in Epic systems and unit-specific orientation, with training length dependent on the traveler's comfort level.
    • No call shifts; every third weekend work is required.
    • The unit has 6 inpatient beds and 6 universal beds, with an average daily census of 5 patients.
    • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1.
    • Dress code: Solid-colored scrubs.
    • Experience minimum required: 1 year (ER).
    • Previous employment with the organization must be disclosed; if applicable, end date must be 12 months prior to submission.
