Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position in an acute care facility, providing specialized care to patients across all age groups with various high-acuity conditions. The role involves utilizing advanced emergency protocols and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Location: ER department in an acute care setting.
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, HSS Team (workplace violence training).
- Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency department.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: No clinical involvement. Non-full-time, non-part-time, and non-PRN candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible; artificial nails are prohibited. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and pass a pass/fail exam during orientation. Orientation includes two shifts, with specific dress code requirements and the opportunity to utilize TeleHealth services. The unit manages a variety of high-acuity cases including chest pain, sepsis, stroke, orthopedic injuries, and behavioral health emergencies, using EPIC electronic medical records and IV pumps such as Alaris.
