Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurses located in the area are sought for a short-term assignment. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment, supporting a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The position requires adaptability and clinical expertise to manage various urgent and emergent conditions during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights (19:00-07:30), 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, every other weekend, holiday requirement.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for the state or a compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system, prior community hospital or emergency department experience, familiarity with trauma level II protocols.
- Additional Information: Take care of a patient census averaging around 30 with a bed complement of 40. Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, cardiac conditions, chest pain, strokes, trauma, and psychiatric cases. Staff are required to have CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification. The unit operates with interdisciplinary teams supporting respiratory, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The hospital is certified for stroke and STEMI patients and has a secure inpatient psychiatric unit. Flexibility for floating within scope is required, and all compliance documents must be submitted prior to the start date.
