The nurse will support a fast-paced delivery service with extensive coverage in a comprehensive maternal and women's health department, ensuring quality patient care across diverse emergency and obstetric scenarios.

  • Required Credential(s): BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted; Registered Nurse Texas license; Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP); Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing.
  • Required Experience: 3 years minimum of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in high-volume delivery service.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional information: The position is located within a high-capacity facility performing over 500+ deliveries per month, with 24-hour in-house coverage by attending obstetricians, anesthesia, and neonatal intensive care unit specialists. The unit features 26 labor, delivery, and recovery suites; 6 C-section suites; 60 Mother-Baby couplet rooms; and 15 antepartum monitored beds. The Emergency Department sees patients from 16 weeks to 6 weeks postpartum, with an expanded gynecology scope. The department maintains a fast-paced environment requiring urgent decision-making and multidisciplinary collaboration.
