Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The position provides specialized nursing care for patients of all ages presenting with emergency and trauma-related conditions. Responsibilities include rapid patient assessment, prioritization of injuries and medical needs, and development of effective nursing care plans for physical and mental health conditions.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); minimum 18 months of nursing experience in an emergency department environment, including emergency department experience within the past six months; New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license; Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); telemetry experience; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); four-hour stroke continuing education contact.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; every other weekend required; holidays as needed.
- Additional Information: Provides professional nursing services for emergency and trauma situations involving patients of all ages. Responsibilities include assessing patients with physical and mental health conditions, prioritizing injuries and medical needs, applying clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate nursing care plans, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare personnel. Navy scrubs are required.
