Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse located in a full-service, acute-care hospital setting. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages, utilizing advanced clinical skills and teamwork. The position offers guaranteed weekly hours and an engaging environment focused on community health and safety.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Virginia, ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC certifications, 2 years of ER experience, at least 1 travel assignment completed, located 60 miles or greater from the facility
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common diagnoses such as Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and psychiatric conditions; professional, positive, compassionate team player personality
- Additional Information: The ER unit has 34 beds with patient ratios of 1:5. The position requires handling a diverse patient population across all ages and is suited for an experienced nurse comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Orientation dates are scheduled bi-weekly on Tuesdays, starting from June 2, 2026. The unit operates within a facility with trauma level N/A, and the role involves as-needed weekend and call responsibilities.
