Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week days assignment requiring 24 months of recent Emergency Department experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 34-bed Emergency Department with a mixed patient population
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1
  • Performs drips and titrations
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Day shift flexing between 0500-1730 and 0700-1930 based on department staffing and census
  • Every 4th weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floats between the Marion freestanding ED and St. Luke's Hospital ED

Requirements

  • Active IA or compact/multistate RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA) required
  • TNCC certification required
  • NIHSS certification required (may obtain during onboarding)
  • CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA de-escalation certification highly preferred (may obtain during onboarding if not certified)
  • Minimum 24 months of recent Emergency Room/Emergency Department experience required
  • Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months
  • Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred
  • Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Scrub colors accepted: black, navy blue, or Caribbean blue solids
  • Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments in other UPH markets
