Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with active WI or compact RN licensure and TNCC/TNS certification for a day shift assignment.

Details

  • Emergency Room setting within a hospital and medical center
  • Day shift schedule with rotating weekends
  • Shifts include 6a-6p and some 8a-8p as needed
  • 36 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active WI RN license or compact license required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • TNCC or TNS certification required
  • RN education verification required
  • Prior ER RN experience required

Additional Information

  • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments per policies, standards of care, and state practice act
  • Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
  • Develop and execute individualized patient plans of care in coordination with physicians, including patient and family instruction
  • Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' broader plan of care across departments
  • Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through appropriate channels
  • Participate in professional nursing continuum, unit practice activities, and peer review processes
