The ER nurse will deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse at a Level III Trauma Center, with responsibilities including managing a variety of high acuity cases such as trauma, sepsis, COVID-19, stroke, and psychiatric emergencies.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI/MOAB certifications; active RN license; recent experience in Emergency Department; EPIC proficiency; 0 years of experience required.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Support on the Unit: ER tech glucose checks, assisting with splinting, resource/float nurse, ER educator, social work, pharmacy, and security are available 24/7.
  • Charting System/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication systems, bedside telemetry monitoring.
  • Orientation: Includes badge issuance, EPIC training, mental health area orientation, with a 12-hour shift with a preceptor on the second day.
  • Travel Competency: Telemetry competency required and must be completed and passed prior to start date.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working in a high-energy environment with an emphasis on patient safety and team collaboration.
