Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse in a major metropolitan area, responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care in a high-volume, academic medical center. This position involves providing patient assessment, treatment, and stabilization in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility, with flexibility to float across different units as needed.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license; minimum 3 years of ER RN experience, including at least 12 months within the last year in an academic medical center or a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility.
  • Schedule: 12-hour days shift, 36 hours per week.
  • Additional clinical requirements: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications are mandatory at submission. TNCC certification is preferred but not required. Recent Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience must be listed in the submission packet.
  • Submission must include: Facility type, EMR, Bed count, and at least one reference from within the past 12 months.
  • Screening Requirements: All new RN starts must pass specialty exam and EKG interpretation exam with a minimum score of 80%, and demonstrate 100% identification of lethal rhythms. Failure to meet these requirements will necessitate extended remedial training.
  • Additional Notes: Unit manager interviews are required. RTO of no more than 10 days is allowed for the 13-week assignment. No RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
  • Must be open to floating, with flexibility being essential. No block scheduling. Unplanned time off will result in contract cancellation, as missed shifts are not made up to meet contract obligations.
