Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This 13-week travel assignment supports a high-volume adult emergency department within an academic medical center environment. The role requires experienced emergency nursing practice, flexibility to float, and participation in weekends and holidays.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 36 hours per week, with variable days, weekend and holiday coverage required, and no block scheduling.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience; at least 1 year of travel nursing experience; recent experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center; experience within the most recent 12 months at an academic medical center or a Level I or Level II Trauma Center in a major metropolitan area; Florida Registered Nurse license or compact Registered Nurse license at submission; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC).
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Additional Information:
- 13-week assignment with an anticipated start date of 12/14/2026.
- Flexibility to float to other areas may be required.
- Specialty-specific competency and electrocardiogram (EKG) examinations are required for new Registered Nurse hires.
- A minimum score of 80% is required on each examination, including complete identification of lethal cardiac rhythms.
- Additional remedial training may be required if the EKG competency requirement is not met.
- An interview is required.
