Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Room position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and all-weekend availability.

Details

  • Hospital-based Emergency Room setting
  • Full-time, 12-hour day shifts
  • Required to work all weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with some flexibility on a third day
  • Some holiday commitment required
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC or TNS
  • Minimum 2+ years of ER experience required, 4+ years preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • New graduates will not be considered
  • Must complete an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
  • Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
  • 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant area within the last year required
  • At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency department nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
  • Candidates will participate in a brief 10-15 minute interview with the hospital
