Emergency Room (ER) healthcare professionals are sought for a clinical opportunity in a small, newly established acute care location. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, geriatrics, pediatrics, and walk-in trauma cases. The role requires clinical expertise, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Off campus emergency department open 24/7 with a capacity of 8-10 beds, opening on 11/03.
  • Schedule: 12-hour evening shifts, with every other weekend rotation and potential holiday requirements.
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours.
  • Start Date: 11/02/2026.
  • End Date: 01/30/2027.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Skills Required: Extensive emergency department experience, ventilator management (BiPAP), medication administration (including mixing own medications), chest tubes, central lines, strong intravenous skills.
  • Support on the Unit: Charge nurse responsibilities (training available if needed).
  • Charting System: EPIC.
  • Equipment: Pyxis, Alaris infusion pumps.
  • Orientation: One hospital orientation, 8-hour respiratory class, one full day on the unit.
  • Other Requirements: Telemetry competency required prior to start; simulated exam grading by compliance team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing ventilators and complex emergency procedures.
  • Strong customer service skills.
