Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Center position requiring TNCC certification and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

  • Acute care setting in a high-volume Emergency Center seeing approximately 180-200 visits per day
  • Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric, including trauma, neuro, ortho, and CVA cases
  • Unit includes a 6-bed behavioral/psych lockdown area staffed by psych personnel
  • Patient ratio of 1 to 4
  • Charge nurse present on all shifts
  • Nurse aides/paramedics staffed at 5-6 per shift
  • Security and patient sitters available, with safety sitters used as needed
  • Central monitoring tech supports telemetry monitoring
  • 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapist for ventilator management
  • Nurses perform their own lab draws and IV starts
  • Evening shift schedule, 1p-1a, 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Uses MEDITECH 6.15 EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA state or Compact) required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS or ASLS
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
  • At least 1 prior travel assignment required
  • MEDITECH EMR experience required
  • Driver's license address must match submission for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a broad patient population including trauma, neuro, ortho, and stroke patients
  • 2-shift unit-specific orientation provided
  • ORT must be completed during the first week of assignment unless otherwise approved by EC leadership
  • Caribbean Blue scrubs required
  • Auto lunch deductions apply
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
  • Not eligible if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
