Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for an evening shift contract requiring multiple critical care certifications and Epic experience.

Details

  • Hospital Emergency Room setting
  • 12-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
  • Rotating weekend requirements
  • Holiday coverage as needed per department scheduling, with a minimum of 3 holidays between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day
  • No floating required
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required, 4+ years preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • New graduates will not be considered
  • 2 current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse in the relevant specialty area within the last year
  • Skills checklist and copies of certifications and license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a range of patient presentations and acuities
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
  • Facility conducts a brief 10-15 minute interview as part of the hiring process
