Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Georgetown. The position supports emergency care in a 23-bed department with a 4:1 patient ratio and a collaborative, close-knit team environment. Responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care and participating in procedures such as cardioversion, thrombolytic therapy, and moderate sedation.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; four weekend shifts are required per schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse; one year of Emergency Department experience; Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of Emergency Department experience; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care in a 23-bed Emergency Department with a typical 4:1 patient ratio.
- Performs or assists with cardioversion, thrombolytic therapy, and moderate sedation.
- Requires navy blue scrubs.
- Supports a collaborative care model with nursing, paramedic, patient care technician, and provider participation.
- Self-scheduling and dedicated clinical support are available.
- The department is recognized as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center.
