The role requires applying trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis protocols, along with supporting social and educational needs of a diverse patient population.
Job Details
- Position Description: Backfill emergency department nurse at a 198-bed, level III trauma center providing advanced emergency services to the Four Corners region. Features include state-of-the-art operating suites and extensive imaging and lab testing.
- Required Qualifications: Current RN license, ADN degree, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) from the American Heart Association (AHA); 2 years of emergency department experience; located in Farmington, New Mexico.
- Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Unit employs team nursing with a pod system, supported by social workers and an unit educator. The department uses Cerner electronic health record systems and is equipped with Zoll defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle, Istat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis cases, with a preference for two years of emergency department experience.
