Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a Level III trauma center located in the scenic northwest region. This position involves providing specialized emergency care in a busy hospital setting that serves a diverse patient population with a wide range of urgent medical needs. The role offers an opportunity to work within a team-oriented environment, following established clinical protocols, and gaining valuable experience in trauma and emergency medicine.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a guarantee of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, ADN degree, ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) from AHA, 2 years of emergency department experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis cases; familiarity with emergency procedures such as moderate sedation.
- Additional Information: Team nursing model utilizing the Pod System; social worker assigned to the department; department educator available. The unit is equipped with Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV equipment. Care is provided for adult patients including those with ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, heart failure, and abdominal or chest pain.
