An Emergency Room (ER) Nurse is needed in a Level I Trauma Center located in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing high-acuity emergency care in a fast-paced environment, primarily during night shifts, with a focus on trauma and critical patient management.

  • Patient Ratio Experience: 4:1 standard, flex to 5:1; low acuity areas may have ratios up to 6:1, high acuity areas as low as 2:1 or 3:1
  • Additional Requirements: Must pass Relias EKG exam, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, experienced with EPIC charting system, and trauma level experience preferred
  • Responsibilities include: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation, arterial line management, neuro-trauma care, and other emergency procedures
  • Open to scheduled block shifts from Friday-Sunday only, no floating outside scope, and a maximum of 7 days of RTO during the contract term
  • Work environment includes trauma, stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, fast track, and rapid medical evaluation areas
  • No local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted
  • License requirements vary by state, with specific instructions for MO, IL, and compact licenses
