Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) Charlotte, NC. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a 16-bed freestanding emergency department. The RN will be responsible for managing diverse patient cases across all ages, with a focus on critical care procedures and diagnostics in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
- Location: Charlotte, NC
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, rotating every other weekend
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certifications, minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience, and proficiency in Cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, PIV starts, TPA administration, and conscious sedation.
- Additional Information: The ER handles approximately 68 visits per day, with a 10% admission rate. Support staff includes charge RNs, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and imaging technicians. The department is equipped with electronic medical records (EPIC), Alaris infusion pumps, Ominicell, Panda Warmer, and cross-trained staff for flexibility. Floating to designated regional facilities may be required as needed.
