Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Lewiston, ME. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care at a Level 2 trauma center with a pediatric component. The role requires managing a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics, including those with complex trauma and stroke cases, in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as an RN, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH certification, TNCC, and at least 2 years of experience in a non-trauma emergency department setting with experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and ventilated patients.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, chest pain center, and primary stroke center.
  • Additional Information: The ER handles a wide range of patients, offers teleneurology for stroke cases in cooperation with an academic medical center, and provides essential equipment including ultrasound, bladder scanner, neuro telehealth computer, and hand-held devices. The facility uses OMNICELL, EPIC, and SBAR for electronic health records and communication.
