Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse position is located in a 221-bed acute care facility that functions as a teaching hospital. The role involves providing direct clinical care to patients in the emergency department, supervising staff, and supporting the facility's aim to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient nursing services. This position requires commitment to patient care excellence and collaboration with unit staff.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, recent ER nursing experience or training, applicable certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), proficiency in emergency nursing care, and eligibility to work at the specified location.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), experience in a teaching hospital environment, and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, and providing direct clinical care for assigned patients during night shifts. The role includes supervising clinical staff delegation and supporting the hospital's Clinical Nurse Officer to maintain high standards of patient safety and care quality, ensure staff competency, and optimize resource utilization.
