Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse (RN) Day Shift located at a busy urban emergency department. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse range of emergency cases with a patient ratio of 4:1. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of emergency department experience and be comfortable with procedures such as STEMI, Stroke/Tissue Plasminogen Activator (TPA), and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI). The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to a team recognized for excellence in patient care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least 2 years of emergency department experience as an RN, current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong skills in neuro and cardiac care; high energy and ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026 through 01/04/2027
- Additional Information: The unit features 12 beds and a staff of 6-8 RNs per shift, along with ER technicians and unit secretaries. Procedures commonly performed include STEMI management, stroke protocols with TPA administration, and rapid response procedures. The department encourages a professional appearance with preferred scrub color of royal blue, though not mandatory. Technology updates include electronic medical records systems. The unit boasts a door-to-needle time of 12 minutes for TPA administration and has received recognition for outstanding care and efficiency.
