Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position available in Ashland, Oregon. This role involves working in a small ER department, providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. The assigned shifts are nights, with a focus on independent practice, collaborative support from the House Supervisor and ER physician, and potential floating to other units as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend, work will include a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts during day and evening hours, Sunday through Saturday work week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), with at least 2 years of ER experience. Must be able to function independently with House Supervisor backup, with significant experience in emergency or critical care settings.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a small ER setting, higher acuity/ICU experience preferred for support with occasional outreach.
  • Additional Information: Orientation is expected to be a minimum of one 12-hour shift, with computer charting on the unit using EPIC. Candidate must have Oregon RN license verified prior to start. The unit consists of seven rooms and eight gurneys, with a nurse-to-patient ratio not specified.
  • Special Notes: Call off policy allows for up to 24 hours notice, with a non-billable orientation period. Floating to over units/departments is possible, though specific departments are not required.
