Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a community-focused facility located in Georgetown. This contract assignment spans 13 weeks, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 36 or more hours per week. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a well-equipped, trauma-certified environment, emphasizing teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience; candidates must meet all listed certifications and experience requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of ED experience, ENPC and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) knowledge
- Additional Information: The unit features 23 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1, staffed by a team of nurses, certified nurse assistants, paramedics, and patient care technicians, with staffing fluctuating based on patient volume. Typical procedures include cardioversion, administration of thrombolytic therapy (TNK), and moderate sedation. The department is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center, recognized for excellence in stroke care and trauma services. The unit culture is collaborative, with a focus on community, stability, and staff satisfaction. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs; no specific mention of attire restrictions.
