Job Summary
Registered Nurse Emergency Room. The position provides emergency nursing care for adolescent, infant, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a monitored emergency department setting. The role offers 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week and accepts first-time travelers.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; either Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; 1 year of experience; required charting system experience; state or compact nursing license in hand at submission; proficiency in care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, general emergency department care for adult and pediatric patients, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment, dysrhythmia management, and triage.
- Schedule: Night shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The position serves patients across the adolescent, infant, adult, pediatric, and geriatric age groups. Clinical support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. Emergency department rooms are monitored and equipped with electronic charting access, with respiratory, computed tomography, and X-ray services available within the department.
