Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Tele) – Alliance, NE 69301
Start Date: October 27, 2026
Location: Alliance, Nebraska
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week. Patient ratio typically 1:4, with charge nurse support available on every shift.
Highlights:
- 25-bed private unit specializing in medical/telemetry care with emphasis on swing bed patients
- Patient population includes COPD exacerbations, CHF, wound care, long-term antibiotics, and post-surgical recovery
- Central telemetry monitoring with portable monitors available; charge nurse does not take patient assignments
- Excellent support services including 24/7 lab, therapy services, case managers, and nurse aides/unit clerks
- Meditech Expanse charting system with Alaris pumps
- Comprehensive orientation including three days of classroom training and preceptor shift
Requirements:
- Active RN license in good standing; Nebraska state license or compact license required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry unit
- Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital required
- Experience with Meditech Expanse charting system preferred
- BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required; PALS preferred
- Reliable personal transportation required (rideshare services not available in this area)
- Current professional references from supervisors within the past three years
- Completion of all required health screenings, immunizations, and background checks
