Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and active NM or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 9-bed Emergency Department within a 47-bed acute care facility
  • Treats all patient populations including geriatric, adult, and pediatric cases
  • Team nursing model with 9:2 patient ratios
  • Night shift schedule (7p-7a)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call or float requirements
  • Uses MedHost EDIS EHR system

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NM State or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
  • Associate's degree minimum required
  • Critical access hospital experience preferred
  • Fingerprint-based background check required per New Mexico state regulations for all clinical staff

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across all patient age groups in a team nursing environment
  • Teamwork-oriented personality fit preferred
  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
  • Candidates may begin work under a 14-day waiver while background check results are pending, with required supervision during this period
  • Scrub color is unrestricted
  • Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
