Job Title: Paramedic Profession: Paramedic Specialty: Paramedic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: PA state license Certifications: NREMT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, PHTLS Must-Have: - Experience with emergency medical services - Ability to care for patients with urgent and emergent conditions - Ability to perform various medical functions as per protocols Description: Responds to EMS calls and performs a variety of functions related to the care and treatment of patients suffering from urgent and emergent disease and/or injury states. Adheres to appropriate rules, regulations, and protocols. Familiarity with PA EMS Act and scope of practice is required. Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If clinically qualified and within guidelines, candidates will be sent to the manager for the final decision. Manager will conduct the interview. Candidates could care for COVID-19 patients. Facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. Additional experience with managing violent behavior and mental health conditions is preferred. Experience with both adult and pediatric patients is necessary. Key skills include airway management, cardioversion, defibrillation, and intubation. Knowledge of interpreting 12 lead EKGs and managing STEMI events is essential. Candidates are expected to provide wound care, immobilization, and other critical interventions.
