Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient assessments, planning, and implementation of care plans.
• Document patient information accurately using the Cerner documentation system.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including attendance and dress code.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required before start date.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED and a teamwork mentality.
• Ability to coach and provide feedback in real-time.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 101
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds.
• Techs available for support in cardiac monitoring and triage.
• Type of equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
