Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and TNCC certification at a Level III trauma center.

Details

  • Level III trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds and flex space
  • Serves as a regional trauma referral site, receiving flown-in Level I, II, and III trauma cases
  • Patient population includes adult patients with ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric conditions
  • Common diagnoses include substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
  • Patient ratios of 4:1 in main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
  • Uses Zoll defibrillator, Level One blood transfuser, QinFlow blood warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC testing, and ultrasound-guided IV placement
  • Charts in Cerner EHR
  • Team nursing and pod system with dedicated social worker and unit educator support
  • Night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
  • Minimum of two weekends required per schedule
  • No call requirements
  • No floating requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NM state or compact) currently in hand
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be issued by AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 2 years of ED experience preferred
  • RN ADN required for education
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
