Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Conroe, TX

Join a dynamic emergency care team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) providing high-acuity patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Conroe, Texas. This six-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, team-oriented staff in a rapid-response environment. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Typically every other weekend
• Unit Environment: Emergency care setting with approximately 30 beds plus hallway beds; typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Emergency Department Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Texas
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in an Emergency Department or comparable acute-care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Strong emergency nursing assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood draws, moderate sedation, and emergency medication administration
• Ability to care for patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and rapid infusion support
• Compassionate, empathetic, and team-oriented approach to patient care
• Comfort working night shifts in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department
• Familiarity with Meditech is helpful

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to emergency and high-acuity patients
• Perform focused nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention
• Provide cardiac monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in rhythm or clinical condition
• Initiate and maintain IV access, perform blood draws, and administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Assist with moderate sedation, emergency interventions, and rapid-response procedures
• Support care for patients requiring ventilatory assistance, BiPAP/CPAP, and rapid infuser equipment
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, providers, paramedics, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
• Promote patient safety, communicate clearly, and uphold professional nursing standards throughout each shift
