Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3x12 Days

Rate: $100/hr
Contract: 91 weeks

Position Overview
Very high-acuity Emergency Department caring for a heavy volume of stroke, cardiovascular, diabetes, wound, behavioral health, and sepsis cases. Some trauma patients are seen, but the unit is not trauma-designated. Security is onsite 24/7.
Required
- RN license in state of employment or compact license
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA PALS
- TNCC
- De-Escalation certification
Preferred
- BSN
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Administer medications and treatments and monitor effectiveness
- Care for patients with complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers
- Delegate and assign tasks appropriately to other care providers
- Identify patient needs, issues, and available resources
Additional Information
- Full-time position
- Newly hired experienced RNs complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
- Facility-specific competency validation required
- Emergency Department-specific competency validation required
- Annual competency requirements must be completed
