Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring flexibility to work all shift types.

Details

  • Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department with 40 beds
  • Treats all patient populations, including trauma and critical care cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Uses Epic EHR system
  • Varied shift schedule including days, nights, and mid shifts
  • Weekend shifts required every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • No floating required
  • 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed weekly hours

Requirements

  • Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; CEN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Trauma and critical care experience preferred
  • Basic nursing skills required
  • PA state clearances required, including Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprinting, FBI/Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance
  • Drug screen must be completed within 90 days of start
  • No declinations for MMR or TB immunizations accepted

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient acuities in a high-volume trauma setting
  • Work alongside a supportive care team in a fast-paced ER environment
  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
  • Scrub color is flexible with no restrictions specified
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
