Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Alexandria, LA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a very high acuity unit, where you will encounter a diverse range of cases including strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis. While some trauma cases may arise, this is not a trauma-designated unit. Enjoy the peace of mind with security onsite 24/7.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
  • BLS certification via AHA required.
  • ACLS certification via AHA required.
  • PALS certification via AHA required.
  • TNCC certification required.
  • De-Escalation certification required.
  • RN License in state of employment or compact.

Position Requirements:

• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member, with initial onboarding validated through competency assessments.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
