Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

  • Level III trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds and flex space
  • Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
  • Patient population includes ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, and Psychiatric cases
  • Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC testing, and Ultrasound Guided IV equipment
  • Utilizes Cerner EHR system
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
  • No call requirements
  • No floating requirements
  • Team nursing and Pod System with dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator support

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (must be from AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with ED experience preferred
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
  • Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required
  • Common diagnoses treated include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of trauma and medical conditions
  • Various Trauma Level I, II, and III cases are flown into the facility given its regional location
  • Work alongside a Clinical Coordinator and Interim ED Manager as part of the care team
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
