Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

  • Work in a 48-bed Level III trauma center Emergency Department with flex space
  • Team nursing and Pod System structure with dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator support
  • Patient ratios of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
  • Patient population includes ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, and Psychiatric cases
  • Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV equipment
  • Cerner EHR system used
  • Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
  • Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
  • No call requirements
  • No floating requirements

Requirements

  • Active NM or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC (TNCC must be from AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
  • RN ADN education required
  • Experience with Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation required

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation cases
  • Manage common diagnoses including ESRD, Substance Abuse Disorders, Psychological Disorders, COPD, CHF, Abdominal Pain, and Chest Pain
  • Facility is a Level III trauma center that receives Level I, II, and III trauma cases via air transport
