Join a leading acute-care hospital in Hopewell, VA, as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER). Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 22 (with a vertical space area for additional patients)
• Number of Staff: Approximately 50
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Type of Equipment: Phillips & GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser
• EMR: Meditech (EDM)

Typical Hiring Profile:

• Must Have: Strong IV skills (adults & pediatric), Excellent communication skills
• Preferred: Trauma experience, TNCC, Meditech experience

Typical Procedures Performed:

• Cardioversion
• Central line placements
• Cardiac arrests
• IV insertions, EKGs, etc. (basic ER skills)
• Pacemaker interrogation
• Code Stroke protocol
• Code Sepsis protocol
• Suture/abscess set up

Required Certifications:

Unit Guidelines/Policies: Every other weekend, at least 1 Friday & 1 Monday of a 4-week schedule. No on-call required.
