Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to work in Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, and PALS or ENPC
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience with rapid triage in emergency nursing
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
• Comfortable providing care to patients across the lifespan in an ED setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical needs
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced emergency department
• Support treatment for common emergency diagnoses such as chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric concerns
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver safe, efficient patient care
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Maintain a calm, compassionate approach while responding to changing patient conditions
• Float as needed within the emergency services environment
