A leading acute-care hospital located in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Travel RN for the Emergency Department. The hospital is also a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, providing advanced care to the community.

As a Travel RN in the Emergency Department, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The unit typically has a patient ratio of 4:1, with the possibility of up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds. You will work with advanced equipment and a supportive staff, including techs and unit clerks available to assist in the fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform advanced nursing procedures as required.
  • Maintain documentation using the Cerner system.
  • Participate in patient experience initiatives, ensuring respectful behavior and communication.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
  • Experience in a Level II trauma center or high-volume ED (>100,000 visits/year) preferred.
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC before Date of Hire.
  • Teamwork mentality and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
