• Floating: Yes, as needed during low census

Job Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact State RN license
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Current ACLS certification from AHA
• Current PALS certification from AHA
• Current TNCC or ATCN certification required
• CPI / De-escalation certification preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide age-appropriate emergency nursing care

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care in a busy Emergency Department
• Perform initial triage assessments and prioritize care based on patient symptoms, age, and psychosocial needs
• Reassess patients regularly to identify changes that require intervention
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Administer timely nursing interventions and document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust the plan of care as needed
• Support patient and family education, including discharge planning
• Perform point-of-care testing and follow established clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing team members to deliver high-quality emergency care
