Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring TNCC and CPI certifications along with a TX or compact RN license.

Details

  • Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) with 22 beds
  • Staffing includes a charge nurse and multiple RNs across day, mid, and night shifts
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Uses splinting equipment, defibrillators, Hamilton ventilators, Welch Allyn devices, and bedside cardiac monitoring
  • Charting in Meditech Magic, transitioning to Meditech Expanse
  • Shift schedule is 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
  • Weekend requirement is flexible, either as needed or every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • May be required to float to Fairmont FSED as needed

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • TNCC certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • CPI certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Emergency Department nursing
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Perform IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedations, and splinting procedures
  • Strong teamwork and patient experience focus valued
  • Must wear royal blue scrubs and closed-toed shoes with no holes
  • No false nails, AirPods, or smart glasses permitted; stethoscope must be available for assessments
  • No food or drinks allowed at the nurse's station per regulatory guidelines
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • ENPC and NRP certifications are preferred but not required
